Making GOAL!

18 Sep

Setting a goal gives me tremendous focus. This is what I have to do, and I will work my hamster butt off to make sure that I reach goal. Or at least try extremely hard and fail a couple times. When I first started doing thrusters, I did an average of 50 thrusters with a 5kg x 2 DB. A couple months later, I progressed to an average in the 60s region. Last weekend, I had a chance to glance at my Goals & Rewards and I realised that I’ve yet to achieve my thrusters and burpees goal.

Today, I went into gym with four hours of sleep in me. Not a great executive decision by a stretch but, got to be consistent right? Inspite of that, I kick butt in my goal busting.

I did 108 thrusters in 5mins!!!

Progress Pictures.

9 Sep

Everyone loves a picture post as much i’d like to believe that my eloquent self is suffice.

Before / In Progress

The "after" picture was taken a month ago when I was cleaning out the wardrobe. Perhaps, it’s "fat girl" syndrome but I cannot tell if it’s a marked difference. Of course, there’s no denying that there is a difference but, is it significant enough?

Weigh in Update

16 Jul

June was a particularly challenging month for me. For reasons unknown. Though if I could venture a guess I would say, birthday celebrations. A lot of festivities go on when one turns a decade. Discouraged, I skipped the weigh in and statistics update for June but I picked up the slack this month albeit a little early. I’ll do the measurement section over the weekend.

With hope that my scale is not nearing the end of it’s digital life, I weighed in with a 12kg total weight loss since March 16, 2009. That is a lovely 26.4lbs for the metric challenged folks!

Wow.

Weigh In!

30 May

I started this journey just over two months ago on 16 March 2009, with my first weigh in four days later. While there was a particularly frustrating two week period where I constantly weighed in at the same weight, the majority of this journey has been downhill.

As of today, I have lost 7.4kg (16.3lbs) which is absolutely FABULOUS! That’s an amazing achievement for two months of work if I may say so myself. And I know that there are days where I am absolutely down thinking that I am not losing enough weight or losing it fast enough but, to see the figures down officially on screen is completely re-assuring. It reinforces everything that I have been doing or trying to do.

Most importantly, it is not in my head at all. The loss is VERY real.

I’ll re-do my measurements next weekend because, I feel bloated and, the measurements show little to no loss from a month ago which is hard to believe given the scale weight.
